For almost 25 years, Inland Technologies has been providing spent aircraft deicing fluid (ADF) recovery services at Dulles International Airport (IAD). The Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority recognized early on the impact spent ADF was having on local and downstream environments.
Inland’s operation at IAD started with just three Glycol Recovery Units (GRUs) and has grown into 18 recovery vehicles to meet the unique and evolving needs of the airport, airlines, and environmental regulations. We service multiple pad locations using block and pump operations while deploying GRUs for active recovery of spent ADF.
Inland enhances the local recovery program by collecting additional fluids at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), and Andrews Airforce Base. Our IAD station operation now supplies raw materials for the production of Inland’s certified SAE AMS 1424 Type I recycled ADF. Our ability to customize and scale services as well as see the wider view has allowed us to create a sustainable hub for aviation services.
